Site Update: 23rd - 29th March

This last week at Harefield Place has been a hectic one, with a whole manner of different vehicles and tradesmen on site hustling to get these apartments one-step closer to being finished!

With Harefield Place’s Grade II listed building drawing closer and closer to completion, there has been more of a focus on the construction of the complimentary new build. Once finished, these 16 modernistic apartments will sit alongside the manor house, adding to the 9 sympathetically restored Georgian apartments in the main manor house.

As cranes arrive on site to assist with digging out the basement parking, which stretches out beneath the contemporary apartments, plasterers are hard at work inside the building, shaping the shell into something that better resembles a future home.

Yet, as concrete is being poured on the other end of the site from the period property, work still continues on the older building. With the internal walls having been erected, electricians are currently busy at work, wiring up each apartment and getting them ready for their completion in summer.

Hidden behind layers of sheeting, with only the prominent bell tower poking up from amongst the scaffolding, the historic house is undergoing a bit of a facelift, as superficial work is going on to its façade to restore the exterior’s grandeur.

As we continue to move further into spring, we’re thrilled to see these significant changes happening here at Harefield Place. When you begin a building or restoration, those first few months feel a lot slower than those leading up to completion. The closer we get, more hectic, but exciting, it feels!
